- 04Feeling Frazzles™ represent overwhelming emotions that can appear when feelings become very strong. In Emotionopolis™, Frazzles are external feeling messengers, not part of the child themselves. This helps children understand that they are not the problem — the feeling simply needs attention and support. By viewing emotions this way, children can explore their feelings in a shame-free and compassionate way. Children are encouraged to use coping strategies introduced by the Coping Crew™ to help their Frazzle calm down and turn light blue, the symbol of emotional calm in Emotionopolis™.
- 05Emotionopolis™ is the imaginative world where emotional learning is explored through storytelling and play. In Emotionopolis™: • streets represent different feelings • emotional highways connect feelings to body sensations • the Mood Map alerts the Coping Crew™ when a Frazzle appears • the Coping Crew™ introduce coping strategies and helpful skills This playful framework helps make emotional learning engaging and easier for children to understand.
- 06When the Mood Map signals that a Feeling Frazzle™ has appeared, the Coping Crew™ fly in to help. Each character introduces skills that support emotional growth, healthy decision-making, and positive relationships. Through stories, activities, and skill-building tools, children are introduced to skills such as: • calming strong emotions • pausing before reacting • building courage when facing fears • recognizing body safety and personal boundaries • using their voice to communicate needs and feelings • practicing effective communication and respectful honesty • bouncing back after mistakes • focusing attention and problem-solving • understanding the difference between kind giggles and hurtful giggles Each member of the Coping Crew™ represents a skill that children can practice and strengthen as they grow along their regulation journey.
